News from India

Sourav axed. Sreeshanth In.

It’s nice to see a face from Kerala in the Indian Squad. Sreeshanth might be the next generation fast bowler ... and he’s right handed. He can be part of an Indian attack just like the present English Quattro. I don’t really know when we are going to have a right mix of spin and pace. Murali Karthik, Harbhajan and Kumble all are good, but in present scheme one of them is sure to miss out in final 17 even. If Balaji ever comes back, it’s sorry for him. I don’t think he’s a right test player material. Some may differ in opinion but I had been right in the past.

First among Equals

“All are equal, but some are more equal than others”. That’s what coach Chappell had to say about Sachin. No one can argue with that. If any player can be trusted on life to play in the best interest of his country; it’s him. All of India prays for his fitness to be peak once again and hope for the best for World Cup 2007.
